Arizona Gay Rodeo

The Arizona Gay Rodeo Association is one of the oldest and largest gay rodeo organizations in the country. The annual rodeo event draws participants and spectators from across the Southwest for a weekend of rodeo competition country dancing and community celebration. Gay rodeo is a unique and important part of LGBTQ culture in western states and the Arizona event is one of the most celebrated on the circuit.

The world's largest leather event held annually on the last Sunday of September on Folsom Street in San Francisco's SoMa neighborhood. The Folsom Street Fair celebrates LGBTQ leather kink and alternative communities with a massive outdoor festival that draws hundreds of thousands of attendees. The fair is an important cultural celebration and major fundraiser for community organizations.

A plaza at the intersection of Castro and Market Streets in San Francisco named after Harvey Milk the first openly gay person elected to public office in California. The city's distinctive architecture was shaped in part by the large gay community of architects designers and cultural figures who made Palm Springs their home and Modernism Week celebrates this cultural legacy with tours exhibitions and events.

The Greater Palm Springs Pride festival held each November is one of the most celebratory Pride events in the country. The parade and festival fill the streets of downtown Palm Springs and the Arenas District with tens of thousands of visitors for a weekend of entertainment performances and community celebration. The warm November desert weather makes it a genuinely comfortable outdoor festival unlike the summer Pride events in other cities.

Phoenix Pride has grown significantly in recent years reflecting the city's increasing LGBTQ visibility and is one of the largest Pride events in the Southwest. The event takes over downtown Phoenix with stages entertainment and community organizations from across Arizona.

Pulse Orlando Memorial

The site of the former Pulse nightclub where the tragic shooting of June 12 2016 took the lives of 49 people. The space is now a memorial and sanctuary dedicated to the victims. A place of remembrance reflection and ultimately hope for the LGBTQ community and all who loved those lost.

A national monument in New York City's Greenwich Village that encompasses the Stonewall Inn and the surrounding area. Designated by President Obama in 2016 it is the first national monument dedicated to LGBTQ rights in American history. The monument acknowledges the pivotal role of the 1969 uprising in the fight for equality.

White Party Palm Springs

One of the most famous gay circuit party events in the world held annually in Palm Springs over a long spring weekend. The White Party draws tens of thousands of gay men from around the globe for multiple days of pool parties DJ events and nightclub gatherings spread across multiple venues throughout the city. Tickets to the major events sell out months in advance and the event has been a community institution since the 1980s.
