QueerLine is a free, nationwide LGBTQ+ community and resource platform. It connects LGBTQ+ people across the United States with health resources, local services, events, businesses, news, and community forums. The site is free for all visitors and always will be.

Yes, completely. Browsing the site, using the resource finder, reading news, joining forums, and submitting events and places are all free. Creating an account is free. Listing a business at the Basic level is free.
Revenue comes from optional paid upgrades for businesses (the Featured listing tier) and from Community Sponsor placements. This keeps the platform free for everyone else.
It is the QueerLine tagline and it represents the three things the platform is built to do:
QueerLine is nationwide from day one. All 50 states and Washington D.C. are supported. The local resource finder uses zip code search so results are always relevant to where you are.
Click Join Free in the top navigation. You will need a valid email address and a username. After registering, you will receive a verification email. Click the link in that email to activate your account before you can post or submit content.
Email verification confirms that the address you provided is real and that you have access to it. It protects the community from spam accounts and ensures we can reach you with important account updates. You will not be able to submit content or post in the forums until your email is verified.
Badges appear on your profile and reflect your role or contributions to the community. Current badge types include:
Sign in and click My Account in the navigation. From there you can update your display name, bio, location, and profile picture. You can upload a photo or choose from 12 pride flag avatar designs, including Rainbow, Trans, Bisexual, Non-binary, Pansexual, and more.
You need a QueerLine account first. Once signed in, go to the Submit a Business page and fill in your business details. All submissions are reviewed by our team before going live. Basic listings are free.
We aim to review all business submissions within 2 to 3 business days. You will receive an email notification when your listing is approved or if there is an issue with your submission.
There are two listing tiers in the QueerLine Business Directory:
Upgrading does not affect your reviews or existing listing content. Both tiers appear in the same directory. Featured listings are visually distinguished and sorted above Basic ones.
Sign in and navigate to your listing page in the directory. In the right sidebar, you will see an Upgrade Your Listing card with options and pricing. You can also find it quickly by clicking My Listing in the navigation bar once you have an approved listing.
Upgrades are handled securely through Stripe. You can cancel anytime.
There is no hard limit. If you own or manage multiple LGBTQ+-friendly businesses, you can submit each one separately under the same account. Each listing is reviewed individually.
Community Sponsors are businesses that pay to be featured prominently across QueerLine pages. Their placements appear as native cards or content that match the site design. There are no banner ads, no pop-ups, and no uploaded image ads. Sponsorships help keep QueerLine free for everyone.
Spotlight: Your business appears as a branded card in the "Community Sponsors" row on the pages you select. The card shows your logo, business name, category, and city. Clicking it takes visitors directly to your directory listing. Spotlights appear on content pages like the directory, events, health, resources, news, rights, places, and forums.
Sponsored Post: Your business appears as a native content card inside the News and Forum page feeds, between articles or threads. It shows your business name and a short description with a subtle "Sponsored" label. It blends naturally into the content flow without disrupting the reading experience.
Both formats are built into the site design. No ad blocker can hide them because they are not external ad scripts.

If you do not have a QueerLine business listing and want to advertise, use our Contact page to send a request. Include your organization name, your website URL, and which pages or sections you are interested in. A site administrator will review your request, confirm availability and pricing, and follow up within 2 business days. Once approved and paid, your placement goes live on the agreed start date.
Note: all ads on QueerLine use our native card format regardless of how they are booked. We do not accept custom banner images or client-supplied creative files.
No. QueerLine sponsorships are not served through external ad networks or ad scripts. They are PHP-rendered elements built directly into the page, identical in structure to regular site content. Ad blockers target external scripts and tracking pixels, neither of which QueerLine sponsorships use.
If you have an approved business listing: Sign in to your account and visit the Advertise page. Select the package that fits your goals, choose your duration (weekly or monthly), and complete checkout securely through Stripe. Your placement goes live on your chosen start date with no waiting period.
If you do not have a business listing: Use our Contact page to send a placement request. Include your organization name, website, and which pages interest you. An administrator will follow up with pricing and availability. Billing is handled separately once your placement is confirmed.

A business with a Basic free listing can still buy a Spotlight ad. A Featured business can also run Sponsored Posts. They complement each other.
The Family Building Network is a section of QueerLine designed to help LGBTQ+ individuals and couples connect with others who are on a family-building journey. It is a directory of self-created profiles where members can indicate what they are offering or seeking, such as sperm donation, egg donation, gestational surrogacy, or co-parenting.
It is not a matchmaking service and QueerLine does not facilitate or arrange any agreements. All connections happen between individuals who then handle their own legal and medical arrangements independently.
Any verified QueerLine member who is 18 years of age or older can create a profile. You must agree to the Member Agreement before your profile goes live. The Member Agreement covers responsible use, accuracy of information, legal compliance, and the understanding that QueerLine is a connection platform only and is not a party to any arrangement.
There are eight profile types, split into offering and seeking categories:
You can include details about your health background, compensation expectations, location, identity verification status, and your openness to known or anonymous arrangements.
Each active profile has a contact form at the bottom of the profile page. You must be signed in to use it. When you submit a message, it is forwarded to the profile owner by email. Your email address is not shown to them until they choose to reply. To make it easy for them to respond, simply reply to their reply email. The profile owner receives your message with a direct reply link and can respond at their own pace.
Not automatically. When someone sends you a message through the platform, it is forwarded to your email by QueerLine. Your email address is not included in that notification. However, if you reply to that forwarded email, your email address becomes visible to the sender through standard email reply headers. The message email includes a clear notice about this so you can decide whether to reply directly or respond through other means.
No. QueerLine is a connection platform only. We do not act as an agency, broker, or intermediary in any family-building arrangement. We do not verify medical claims on profiles, and we are not responsible for any agreement reached between members. Before proceeding with any arrangement you find through the Family Building Network, both parties should retain a licensed attorney and, where applicable, work with a licensed physician or fertility clinic.
Sign in and go to My Account. Your Family Building profile is shown in your dashboard. From there you can edit any of your profile details or permanently delete your profile. Deletions are processed immediately and your profile is removed from public view right away.

Yes. The Telehealth Resources page lists LGBTQ+-affirming telehealth providers that offer virtual care across the United States. These services are especially useful for people in rural areas or states with limited in-person LGBTQ+-affirming providers.
The Sexual Violence Resources page is dedicated to LGBTQ+ survivors. It includes crisis hotlines (RAINN, the Anti-Violence Project, Crisis Text Line, Trans Lifeline), organizations that specialize in LGBTQ+ survivors, legal rights information, and healing resources. You need a QueerLine account. Once signed in, go to the Submit an Event page. Provide the event name, date, location, and a description. All submissions are reviewed before being published. You can submit up to 5 events per day. Events can also be virtual.
The LGBTQ+ Places section covers bars, restaurants, hotels, parks, community centers, and other welcoming spaces. To suggest a place, sign in and use the Submit a Place form. Our team will review and add approved places within a few days.
The forums are organized into topic categories covering health, coming out, relationships, politics, trans issues, bisexuality, and more. You need a verified account to post threads or reply. Content is moderated by our team and community moderators. Posts that violate community guidelines are removed. Please keep discussions respectful and on-topic.
QueerLine aggregates news from a curated list of trusted LGBTQ+ news outlets including The Advocate, LGBTQ Nation, Out Magazine, Them, PinkNews, Washington Blade, NBC News LGBTQ, GLAAD, HRC, PFLAG, GLSEN, Lambda Legal, and others. New articles are pulled automatically several times per day. You can filter by category (politics, health, culture, community) and by news source.
All submitted content including business listings, events, places, and forum posts goes through a review process before or after publication. Our moderation team reviews reports from the community and acts on content that violates guidelines. If you see something that should not be on the site, use the report feature or contact us directly.
