Co-Owner of Atlanta Lesbian Bar Arrested After Patrons Were Heard “Projecting Their Voices”

Jen-Chase Daniels, the co-owner of Atlanta lesbian bar My Sister’s Room, said she was arrested on Saturday night for alleged noise violations that she says did not come from the business. According to testimony in an incident report by arresting Atlanta Police Department officer Jayden Joseph, he was responding to a violation of a city noise ordinance. “I would like to note for the record I did not hear or witness any loud music coming from either establishment,” he said in the report. “However, I did observe MSR with their garage door open while several patrons were inside projecting their voices loudly.”Joseph alleged that Daniels refused to provide him identification, which he said catalyzed her arrest.
