Elliot Page Is Just One of the Boys in Steamy Bathhouse Spread

He's there with playwright and actor Jeremy O. Harris, award-winning author Marlon James, and actor Elliot Page, just to name a few of the LGBTQ+ celebrities hanging out and sweating together. And all of them were wearing next to nothing. That's how a writer for New York Magazine's online style publication, The Cut, summed up his visit to the Russian & Turkish Baths on East 10th Street. NYC's oldest bathhouse is over a mile east of the Stonewall Inn in a neighborhood famous for LGBTQ+ nightlife, culture and community.But Matthew Schneier — the magazine's out gay chief restaurant critic, who is married to comedian and Straightiolab podcast host, George Civerisf — didn't just pen a piece about the bathhouse. He brought along a famous out gay photographer, some high-fashion items from Gucci, Hermès, and Dior, and they put together a steamy spread of the hottest queer and straight guys to ever bare their chests. The result is "The Boys in the Baths," a rare look at some of the coolest stars of today as they shvitz and kibitz. "Around Labor Day, we invited a mix of Baths regulars and a few first-timers — Troye Sivan, who’d just moved to the city; Marlon James, days after getting the book review of a lifetime," wrote Schneier, "to wear some fashion. But hardly any." Page — who's still waiting for offers for new roles coming off his star turn in Christopher Nolan's megahit movie, The Odyssey — hasn't been shy about baring his chest since recovering from top surgery.
