Hello and Happy Monday, folks!Audience Editor Edgar Ramirez here, back in your inbox with a recap of another busy weekend, courtesy of the main man inside the White House.It started Friday evening, when President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post that he was banning CNN, MS Now, and Politico from the White House, an announcement that caught many, including those in the president's inner circle, by surprise. Perhaps the president was trying to distract from (another) loss delivered to him by a judge regarding the John F. Kennedy Center?The three outlets barred entry then filed a lawsuit, asserting Trump absolutely must let them into the People’s House. In a sign of solidarity, other outlets stated they were refusing to provide pool coverage -- except for a curious few.As Jacob Ogles reports, while TV outlets including Fox News are boycotting White House press pool events, The Washington Blade, a D.C.-based LGBTQ+ outlet, continued Monday to provide print press pool coverage of Trump. The secondary print outlet in the pool on Monday was The Daily Caller, a conservative outlet sympathetic to Trump.The Advocate reached out to The Washington Blade editor Kevin Naff for comment on the decision to participate in the print pool, as well as The Daily Caller, but has not yet received a response.
