Rosie O'Donnell and Epstein survivors sing 'I Am Woman' in musical message to Trump

This story originally appeared on Out.Rosie O'Donnell is going viral again.In a new video, she gets some help calling out President Donald Trump's friendship with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein by singing a famous feminist anthem from 1972.Seven survivors of the late convicted sex offender joined the former talk show host, all dressed in white, to sing "I Am Woman" by Helen Reddy, and O'Donnell shared the video with her 1.4M followers on Instagram. She posted the video Thursday and directly referenced the president's former personal lawyer, U.S Attorney General Todd Blanche. “After the corrupt AG (Trump’s former personal lawyer) implied that he did not believe men accused of sex abuse would be charged as a result of the Epstein files — despite mountains of evidence,” O'Donnell wrote in her caption for the video. “I called some Epstein survivors asked them to sing with me, a powerful Helen Reddy song that taught me at 10 years old to use my voice.”The out lesbian comic and actress called on everyone watching to share the video and to join them by recording themselves singing the Grammy-winning solo performance that became a number one hit for the late pop star on the Billboard charts. See on Instagram Although only seven women appear with O'Donnell in the video, Deadline reported there were eight in attendance: Andrea Sterling, Sharlene Rochard, Lara Blume McGee, Jena-lisa Jones, Wendy Pesante, Lisa Phillips, Marina Lacerda and Chauntae Davies. Before singing with them, O'Donnell expressed her support. “I know it’s been very hard for you, and with very little support, and I’m sorry that our country’s so fucked up,” she said. “But this is what we have to live through. Because you are all heroes, and you’re going to change how the world deals with child sex abuse.??
