A moderator error then delayed the removal, the spokesperson said. Hilton’s family and team confirmed Wednesday that he remained under medical care but provided no additional information about his condition.Christopher spent some time talking with Christine Yu Moutier, a psychiatrist and chief medical officer of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, regarding the incident. The livestream’s public nature prompted some social media users to dismiss Hilton’s behavior as manipulative, performative, or designed to attract attention. Moutier said that framing can obscure the distress behind the behavior.
