I’m here because I know I want to have children, and I don’t want whether or not I happen to be in the right romantic relationship at the right time to determine whether I get to become a parent. I’m open to building a family in a less traditional way, whether that means finding a sperm donor (known or unknown) or meeting someone who is genuinely interested in co-parenting.

If I pursue co-parenting, I’m looking for someone who wants to build an intentional, collaborative, and loving family together, even if our relationship isn’t romantic. Having compatible values and parenting philosophies would be extremely important to me, as would mutual respect, good communication, emotional maturity, reliability, and a willingness to work through disagreements constructively.

I’m still exploring what the right arrangement looks like for me, so I’m not coming into this with one rigid model in mind. I’d like to get to know people, talk openly about what we each envision, and see whether our values, expectations, and hopes for family life are compatible. Ultimately, I’m looking for a path to parenthood that gives a child a stable, loving, supportive family and allows the adults involved to genuinely respect and trust one another.
